The Certification Board for Professionals in Patient Safety (CBPPS) has pre-approved specific programs for continuing education (CE) credits toward CPAFH Recertification. CBPPS believes that continuous knowledge and competency enhancement advances not only your career, but also your organization and age-friendly healthcare as a whole.

This course prepares clinicians to provide high-quality, age-friendly surgical and trauma care for a growing population of older adults with complex medical and psychosocial needs. Through training in geriatric syndromes, the 4Ms of Age-Friendly Health Systems, and evidence-based care pathways, participants will learn strategies to reduce complications such as delirium, falls, functional decline, prolonged hospitalization, and readmissions.

CPAFH Review Courses (Live, Online, and Webinar)
The Institute for Healthcare Improvement (IHI) offers review courses to experienced professionals in age-friendly healthcare who plan to take the Certified Professional in Age-Friendly Healthcare (CPAFH) examination. The CPAFH Review Course can help participants prepare for the CPAFH exam by reviewing domain content areas and test-taking strategies. The CPAFH Review Course is not required to pass the CPAFH certification exam. Participation in any of these courses does not guarantee a passing score on the certification exam.
